The plan of work to be followed under K2D is as follows

• WP 1 – System specification and design, from global to local scale
• WP 2 – Development of the new repeator and assembly process, including sensors and modules
• Wp 2.1 – Development of communications link for persistent AUV monitoring at deep sea; includes positioning acoustics, proximity and contactless data communications
• WP 3 – Development of environmental monitoring systems based on the processing of acoustic datasets
• Wp 3.1 – Development of environmental monitoring systems for deepsea based on eDNA
• WP 4 – Earth Systems modelling and analysis based on Geoinformatics and Artificial Intelligence
• WP 5 – Design and deployment of on-site testing prototypes for validation
• WP 6 – Application of the novel Earth Systems models to case studies, in conjunction with the Atlantic Interactions research center (AIR)
• WP 7 – Project management, dissemination and exploitation of results
