The proposed plan of work to be followed under COGNAT is as follows:

Customization of the glider (month 1-18)
The goal of this task is to adapt the electric glider to the requirements of the project.
Acoustic tomography (month 1-20)
The goal of this task is to test the algorithms and schemes of acoustic tomography and prediction, with synthetic acoustic data.
Glider navigation (month 12-24)
This task addresses the navigation of the glider and it is divided in three major subtasks: real-time glider positioning, definition of the glider trajectory, and post-mission accuracy enhancement.
Demonstration(month 21)
For the final project demonstration, the complete system will be used to acquire long range acoustic data. The glider will be launched in the Sea, towing the acoustic array, and a controlled acoustic source will be installed on a vessel.
